Primary Grades (Kindergarten - 2nd grade)

The primary years are a remarkable time. In Kindergarten through 2nd grade, children are becoming readers, writers, mathematicians, and thinkers. At Ave Maria, every day brings something new to discover and we take that responsibility seriously and joyfully.
In the homeroom classroom, students grow and thrive in their core academic subjects alongside teachers who know them well. They develop strong literacy and writing skills, building the confidence that comes from finding their own voice on the page. In math, students master the foundational concepts that make more complex problem-solving feel approachable and exciting rather than intimidating.

But learning at Ave Maria goes well beyond the homeroom. Our specialist teachers enrich students' days with music, art, technology, foreign language, library, and physical education. Giving every child the chance to discover new passions and shine in unexpected ways.
From the moment they walk through our doors each morning to the last goodbye at the end of the day, children at Ave Maria experience something truly special: a place where they are known, celebrated, and genuinely happy to be. This is more than a great school. This is where your child belongs.
