AMCS Student Leadership Team Diaper Drive

Ave Maria Catholic School Student Leadership Team led a one-week diaper drive for Catholic Charities. More than 67,000 Colorado children experience a diaper need. The Mission of Catholic Charities is to provide service to people in need, to advocate for justice in social structures, and to call the entire church and other people of goodwill to do the same. Catholic Charities focuses on helping all those in need, regardless of faith, who are struggling with poverty and other complex issues.
Ave Maria students and families rose to the challenge. In one week, AMCS collected more than 12,000 diapers to donate to Catholic Charities. Educating students on what it means to experience need and the importance of caring for your community is a pillar of our Catholic faith. Jesus says to us, “Come, Follow Me.” AMCS is committed to teaching our youth to respond to Jesus’ invitation; to reach out and foster relationships of love, hope, and caring.
