Welcome Back – 2025–2026 Athletics Updates & Fall Registration
Welcome back to Ave Maria Athletics for the 2025–2026 school year! We’re excited to kick off another great year of sports and student engagement.
We’re pleased to announce that Miss Nielsen, our Junior Kindergarten teacher, will be assisting Mr. Kaiser in the Athletic Department this year. Miss Nielsen brings valuable experience, having served as an athletic director at her previous schools. We're grateful for her support and dedication to our student-athletes.
To continue offering high-quality athletic opportunities and to offset the rising costs of officials and referees, we are implementing a modest increase in athletic fees. While we've worked hard to keep fees steady in past years, this adjustment is necessary to maintain our programs:
We are also in need of volunteer coaches across all sports. Head coaches will receive a 50% discount on registration fees. If you're interested in coaching or have any questions about registration, please reach out to Mr. Kaiser.

- Cross Country, Flag Football, Basketball, Volleyball – $110 per sport
- Baseball – $120
- Futsal – remains at $80
- Cross Country (Grades 5–8): Boys and girls will participate in 5–6 meets throughout September and October.
- Flag Football (Co-ed, Grades 1–8): Games will be held on Saturdays for 4 weeks, with playoffs on the fifth consecutive Saturday. The season begins on September 13th.

All registration forms, fees, and parent / coaching training completions are due at the beginning of the applicable season. See registration forms for additional information. If there are special circumstances that need assistance or consideration, please contact the Athletic Director or School Principal.

All Tryout / Practice sessions are closed to coaches / players only. Throughout the seasons, there may be special events held at AMCS for all to attend – these will be communicated through both the coaching staffs as well as normal school communications (Herald, Teacherease, etc.).

- Coaching selections are made by the Athletic Director in consultation with the AMCS Principal
- Coaching Requirements. Copies of all completion certificates to be filed with the Athletic Director:
- Virtus Completed Annually
- Concussion Training (CSAL – Online Link to classes on CSAL site)
- Play Like A Champion – Coaching Class (See CSAL site for class dates / locations)
